The Department of Applied Sciences is one of the indispensable departments of the institute. Its aim is to provide quality teaching of basic science subjects to the budding engineers. The students are introduced to the study and learning of communication skills, physical concepts and chemically related aspects of Engineering and technology with mathematical approach. The members of the faculty are dedicated to provide personal attention to the students. Overall the department aims at enhancing the knowledge of the students to deal with the global requirements.

Lab Details

• Lab Name: English and Communication Skills Lab

Lab Description: Communication Lab facility is provided for improving speaking and listening skills of the students. Language Lab offers students a platform to enhance English language skills like communication skills and other soft skills in the technical world. It keeps them ready for interviews and future job environment and makes them confident in expressing comfortably. With use of AV aids various sessions of group discussion, reading skills, listening skills and oral presentations are conducted.

• Lab Name: Applied Physics Lab

Lab Description: Physics Lab is designed to provide students practical perspective to the theories and models that they study in the courses in the class. It brings clarity in the mind of the students regarding the basic concept of the subject. It include voltmeter, ammeter, lenses, balls, pendulum, inclined planes, magnets, resistances, screw gauge, vernier calliper etc.

• Lab Name: Applied Chemistry Lab

Lab Description: Chemistry Laboratory has all the necessary equipment for preparation of samples and standards for various analyses of liquid and solid samples. The laboratory houses traditional equipment including glassware, electric oven, centrifuge, aggregate mill, and chemical balances. In order to foster scientific temper and spirit of enquiry in students by letting them test and verify various theories and principles of chemistry, the college has well equipped, maintained, instrumented chemistry laboratory.
