Workshop

Workshop is a building where skills are acquired in a particular discipline for self reliance. It is as an open establishment which is well organized and equipped with tools, materials and machines necessary for students to acquire practical skills during their diploma courses. The students in workshop department have the opportunity to work in a fitting shop, carpentry shop, sheet metal shop, welding shop, electronic and electrical shop. Profound and consistent efforts by the staff of the workshop wing helps the students to actually learn the various manufacturing processes.

Sheet Metal Workshop , Fitting Workshop, Carpentry Workshop, Welding Workshop, Electrical Workshop, Electronic Workshop.

Lab Description:

In the sheet metal workshop, the students of all the courses are trained about the various operations to fabricate metal sheet structure as per syllabus of Punjab technical board.

Hand operations such as marking, filing, sawing, scraping, drilling, tapping, grinding etc. in a fitting shop are done by using hand tools or power operated portable tools.

Carpentry Workshop is a practical workshop for students to gain information and knowledge about type of wood and different types of woodworking joints.

A welding workshop is a place where students learn how to join two or more parts together by means of heat, pressure, or both.

Electrical Workshop means a workshop engaged in the repair and maintenance of machinery, apparatus and apparatus used for the measurement, generation, transmission, storage and utilization of electrical power;
