



We offer three and two year's diploma in the Information Technology Branch of Engineering. The Diploma in IT offer's study of Computer, Mobile and other associated devices, Internet and related Software and Technologies in Engineering. Student's who have cleared 10th or 12th or ITI (2 years) exam are eligible for admission into Diploma.
The Information Technology Department envisions creating skilled IT professionals capable of working passionately, innovatively and efficiently for the up-gradation of technology and society.

• Computer Workshop: This Lab is provided to give practical understanding to students about computer Hardware and Introduction to Computer Hardware Basics. The purpose of Computer Workshop is to teach basic computer handling and maintenance skills and to initiate you to a set of useful computer tools that will help in your daily activities and make them more efficient. Computer workshop is a way of learning-by-practice method. It emphasises more on practical experience for the students rather than theoretical classes.
• Wireless Network Lab: This lab is used to give student practical experience in the field of Wireless Networking. Wireless networks lab provides practice about all the aspects of modern wireless communications, such as wireless ad hoc networks, and sensor networks.
• Programming Lab: The objective of Programming Lab at GPCG Jalandhar is to provide a hands-on for experience for learning and better understanding of the basic concepts and methods of computer programming. Programming Lab helps students to concentrate on developing programming skills rather than programming languages. This lab is used by students to learn programming skills in languages like C, C++, Java, PHP, Python, MySQL, Wordpress, Moodle.
• Networking and Internet Lab: These labs are used to provide knowledge regarding Networking and Web Technologies in Engineering. The main aim of Network Laboratory is to help students learn basic concepts of networking and Web Technologies. It is equipped with well connected server and client structured systems to help the study of the concepts and protocols of networking and for the efficient use of the routing protocols and Web technologies.
• Project Lab: In this Lab students use these to create Minor and Major Projects. The Project Lab has a main role in helping students gain practical learning experience, where students innovate creative ideas about real life problems, and execute them in the form of final projects.
